Career Development

The Career Development Committee at the MIT Club of Southern California is dedicated to helping our members connect with other MIT alumni, companies, career coaches, recruiters, and professional organizations. The MITCSC member base is wonderfully diverse, uniquely talented, and incredibly well connected. By leveraging our collective networks and relationships, we can enhance all of our careers, whether you're a newly minted MIT grad, someone looking to transition careers, or a seasoned professional.

MITCSC has created a Career Opportunities page where MIT alumni can learn about new career roles and resources. It will be updated periodically, as opportunities are shared with the Club. To view the opportunities, you must login to this site.

If you wish to post a job opening, you can submit employment opportunities through our online form.

Are you interested in hosting a workplace tour to let other alums know about your company and what you are doing? Let us know!

The last few years have been challenging and many of us have felt the impact of the economic downturn. Some of us find it difficult to land a new role, whether we are looking to replace a lost one or transition into one that is more rewarding. The job market is tough and the role fluidity afforded by a growing economy seems a thing of the past.

More than anything else, we currently need to connect with:

  • Employers who need our skills and experience,
  • Recruiters who can be the gateway to employers,
  • Coaches and counselors who can help us better understand ourselves and teach us to hone our message,
  • Potential partners with whom we can team up with to give birth to new ideas and companies.

We hope you find the Career Opportunities forum valuable and we invite you to participate by not only by responding to the openings, but also by connecting us all to job and networking opportunities you know about.
