"My favorite memory from being MITCSC president was when I was planning a
K-12 Education event in conjunction with the MIT alumni association. I
was at lunch with some coworkers and my cell phone rang. I was the
contact for the event, and Dr Buzz Aldrin was on the other line!!! He
had some questions about the event because he was doing some work in
that area and wanted to send some of his staff. Being a fellow Course
XVIer, being remotely connected to him by degree was already such an
honor, but I never in my wildest dreams thought I would get a direct
phone call from him. Coincidentally, he also called my office phone and
left a message. I recorded it on mp3 and have it saved for posterity
to pass onto my grandkids!! Being the focal point of MITCSC allows you
to grow connections with so many interesting people. It was an
